Paulo Dybala will become the world’s most expensive player if Real Madrid win the race for signing the young Argentine this summer.
Real Madrid are ready to break the bank for the Juventus star Paulo Dybala who is also targeted by Real Madrid’s greatest rival Barcelona.
However, Diario Gol reports that Dybala prefers Santiago Bernebau to Camp Nou. The forward reportedly does not want to play in the shadow of his national teammate Lionel Messi.
With Cristiano Ronaldo edging towards the end of his career, Dybala could have a perfect platform at Real. The forward could be Real Madrid’s long-term replacement for the Portuguese Real Madrid legend.
The Argentine has scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in 32 appearances at Juventus this season. He has made a name for himself as one of the hottest prospects in Europe.
With both the Spanish giants targeting him, the tug of war could result to another world record transfer for a Juventus player. Paul Pogba moved to Manchester United last summer for a world record transfer fee.
The Spanish news outlet claims that Real Madrid are preparing to offer eighty million euro to bring him to Spain from Juventus in the summer.
Paulo Dybala in the form of his life
Since Dybala joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015, he has excelled in the Old Lady shirt. The forward has scored 27 goals in 56 appearances in Serie A.
He was honoured with number 21 shirt which was previously worn by the greatest, Andrea Pirlo and he hasn’t disappointed.
In his first season in Juventus, the forward won his maiden Serie A title scoring twenty-three goals in the process.
Dybala could be a key player at Real Madrid
Despite their impressive performances in European competitions, they are yet to win the league since the 2011-12 season. Paulo Dybala could become the perfect remedy to solve Madrid’s woes as they look to dominate the league.
