Eden Hazard was rumoured to move to Spanish Club, Real Madrid, since past few weeks. However, he dismissed all the rumours and said that he has a contract until 2020 and is happy at Stamford Bridge.
Eden Hazard plays a pivotal role in Chelsea’s attack. Having scored 11 goals this season he has performed far better this season than he did last season.
Eden Hazard was named as the Premier League Player of the year after Chelsea won English title in 2014-15 season. The next season, though, both Eden Hazard and Chelsea had a very bad run in Premier League battle and finished only 10th missing European qualification.
However, under Antonio Conte, Chelsea are now seven points ahead of second-placed Tottenham. Hazard meanwhile, has scored 11 goals in 27 games.
The performances have lured attention from several prospects in Europe, esp. Real Madrid.
Real Madrid’s 32-year-old star Cristiano Ronaldo is heading towards his final year as a football player. Many football fans believe that Eden Hazard could be the one to take his place in the Spanish Club.
Consequently, after returning back to arguably his best form in a Chelsea shirt, Eden Hazard was linked with the rumours saying that he could move to Real Madrid this summer.
However, when asked by journalist Claude Achebe if he “fancied going to Spain”, Hazard banished the idea.
“Why do you want to put me in s**t? the Belgian International said.
“No, I am very well here. I have the stuff to finish this year. I have a contract until 2020. Voil, for now, I’m here.”
Also, Chelsea manager Conte earlier said that he believed Hazard could fulfil all of his ambitions at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard alongside Christian Benteke took part in an interview after Crystal Palace shockingly clutched three points against league leaders.
He said, “There is nothing to say (about my future). I take it game by game. I try to play as much as possible That’s it.”
