Luciano Spalletti’s impressive reign so far at Inter Milan impresses Roma legend Paulo Roberto Falcao.
The Italian manager joined Inter Milan from Falcao’s old club Roma this summer. Massively funded Inter Milan side hasn’t lived up to their expectations in the recent seasons – finishing 7th last season.
However, under Luciano Spalletti, Inter have started to stir some pot as they are currently third in the league. The 2010 Champions League winner are just two points below the first placed Napoli. But if you’re to believe Falcao, Spalletti’s side are there to stay.
The former Brazilian international said: “I think at this moment, even if it is too early, it must be said that Napoli, Juventus, Inter, Roma and Lazio are the five teams that will end up at the top end of the league.”
The Eighth King of the Rome believes there is no front runner favorite to win the title this season. The rise of competition in Serie A is handy for the league as Juventus have dominated the league for past few years.
“They are all good teams. Napoli play well. Rome is in form at the moment. Inter play well under Spalletti, Juve is always Juve, while Lazio are on the rise. I do not know who to bet on.”
Nevertheless, Falcao isn’t shy to let everyone know which club he backs to win Serie A this season. The World Cup silver ball winner continued: “Obviously, I would be happy if Roma were to win.”
