Manchester City vs Southampton
Pep Guardiola has certainly made an impact since joining the citizens after taking over one and a half years ago. Manchester City are unbeaten in all competitions across Europe.
City sit comfortably at the top of the table with a five point advantage over Manchester United after a late 2-1 winner at Huddersfield on Sunday. Many pundits have deemed the Citizens to be uncatchable this season. City, however, have a game in hand over their cross town rivals.
Manchester City broke the record of having the best-ever points total by a team after 13 matches of a Premier League season (37 points). Their impeccable form has seen them score 24 PL goals at home this season, double the number they had scored  after as many home games last term.
Southampton come into the game on a high as well after finding the back of the net in spectacular fashion against Everton on Sunday. They scored four times ensuring that they have found their scoring feet once again.
Pellegrino’s Saints will try to build on their latest success and try cause a  major upset in the Ethihad. Last time the two met at Manchester, City were held to a 1-1  draw.
Southampton have looked far from their best so far this term, so even scrapping something off the game will do them a huge boost in morale. Hopefully Pellegrino’s men will be able to make the title race a tad bit more interesting.
