5 points separate bottom 9 teams as Premier League relegation battle intensifies

At the end of game week 27, only 5 points separated teams from positions 12th to 20th, raising the stakes as the Premier League enters its final stretch.

Crystal Palace and Wolves are both at 27 points, while Nottingham Forest sit at 26 points and Everton at 25.

Leicester City, West Ham and Bournemouth are all level with 24 points, while Leeds is second from bottom at 23. Southampton trail the pack with 22 points.

Bournemouth’s recent shock win against Liverpool has put them in a much healthier position to get out of the relegation zone while Southampton show signs of resurgence as well.

Palace are yet to get a win in 2023 but a string of draws has kept them out of danger. After showing some form, Leicester have declined once again and lost four in a row.

Nottingham Forest are winless in their last five games as well. Realistically, any of these teams could go down. It will come down to form and the remaining fixture list as some are yet to face more heavyweights.
