Nottingham Forest could be without winger Anthony Elanga and defender Serge Aurier as the duo have reportedly picked up injuries prior to their Monday night game in the Premier League.
Elanga has reportedly returned from international duty with a hamstring injury and Serge Aurier had picked up an injury in Forest’s last game before the break against Chelsea.
Forest manager Steve Cooper has provided updates on the fitness of both the players. He said; “Anthony came back from Sweden early with a hamstring problem and Serge walked off at Stamford Bridge too, so some players are being managed through injuries. Hopefully, we get them back as soon as possible.
He was also asked whether they will be available for their next league game on Monday and he said: “We’re not sure (if they will be ready for Monday’s game) as there’s still a few days to go until we play. We can’t really rule anyone in or out, so we will see.”
They are also missing the Brazilian duo Danilo and Felipe due to injury. Felipe has been managing an injury for a long time while Danilo also picked up an injury against Chelsea.

Cooper said about Danilo; “Danilo also picked up an injury at Chelsea, which he is still suffering from. It’s a little bit inconclusive on how long he’ll be out for, but he isn’t training at the moment.”
Elanga joined Forest from his boyhood club Manchester United in the summer transfer window for a £15 million transfer fee. He has started life in Nottingham well and has already put in decent performances for his new club.
Aurier joined the Reds last summer from Villarreal and has increasingly become an important part of the squad under Cooper. He played over 30 games for the club in all competitions last season.
Cooper’s side have had a great start to the season. They have won two out of their first five games this season which sees them sat in the top half of the table.
They beat Chelsea 1-0 in their last game in the league in an impressive showing at Stamford Bridge.
Forest will face Burnley in their next league game on Monday night and they will be hoping to continue their good start to the season.
They have also signed World Cup winner full-back Gonzalo Montiel, who is likely to start and is a more than able replacement for Aurier.
