Arsenal in talks to sign Timothy Castagne

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal are in talks to acquire the services of Timothy Castagne. The Gunners may move for the 27-year-old defender in the summer since his future has recently been unclear.

For a while now, Arsenal has been hunting for a new right-back. They have also been closely associated with Ivan Fresneda. They have been watching the young full-back who has excelled in recent months.

However, given the number of teams vying for Real Valladolid’s full-back services, they might need help to sign him. As a result, Timothy Castagne is being closely watched by Arsenal.

Until the very end, Mikel Arteta’s team had the lead in the Premier League title fight. However, they came up just short. The manager is now eager to strengthen the team to ensure success for Arsenal’s next season.

He thinks bringing in a new full-back on the right side will benefit him. While Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White have performed admirably, they lack speed and are not attack-minded full-backs. Arteta is, therefore, eager to sign a new full-back and has Castagne in mind.

Many of Leicester City’s players will be available on the market now that they have been demoted to the EFL Championship. Castagne is one of the players who is anticipated to part ways before the start of the following season.

Despite the team’s dismal season, the 27-year-old had a good campaign. Ahead of the upcoming season, Arsenal is attempting to make a push for his services. The international player from Belgium possesses all the traits Arteta seeks and may be a fantastic addition to their team.

The Foxes are open to hearing bids for the 27-year-old’s services, and the Gunners have already spoken with the team. But Tavolieri claims that since the Gunners need to determine their priorities first, any prospective agreement between the two parties will take some time.
