Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is on the verge of signing a new long-term contract with the club, as per journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The player has been one of the standouts for the club this season with 12 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League, which have helped propel them to the top of the table with an eight-point lead over Manchester City.
Saka’s current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2024 and the club are desperate to keep hold of their star man who has garnered interest from teams across the world.
Two clubs from England and one abroad had been monitoring the situation but Saka has always assured fans of his love for Arsenal and a move elsewhere was unlikely.

Now reports state that he is set to become the highest-paid player at the club and one of the biggest earners in its history.
Saka rose to prominence after coming through Arsenal’s Hale End Academy, which had failed to produce notable professional players since Jack Wilshere.
After featuring at left-back, he was later shifted to the right wing and has never looked back since, going from strength to strength with each season.
He has also emerged as one of the stars for the England National Team, most recently giving a man-of-the-match performance against Ukraine in a 2-0 win. He ended the game with one goal and one assist.
