Ilkay Gundogan’s future at Manchester City remains uncertain as the midfielder considers the available options.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the player is hesitant to quickly sign a contract as that would mean ending his career at the club.
If the player chooses, he could get one last big move before the twilight of his career. Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing him on a free transfer.
Gundogan has proved to be one of the most influential players for Manchester City in recent times. He has made 24 appearances this season.

He has also shown that he can be an unlikely source of goals as he bagged eight last season, including a brace in the final game of the season.
Down 2-0 at Aston Villa, there was serious threat of Liverpool overtaking them on the final day. After coming on as a sub, Gundogan scored in the 76th and 81st minute to make it 3-2 at the final whistle.
The moment has etched itself in Premier League history and the club will be wary of letting an asset like him leave.
However, Guardiola has always been open to letting players leave, with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Oleksandr Zinchenko leaving for rival clubs in the summer.
