Klopp and Liverpool interested to sign Tielemans on free transfer

Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants to bring in Youri Tielemans to Liverpool in the summer, according to Football Transfers.

Given that the Belgian’s contract with Leicester City expires in the summer, he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign.

The Reds are looking to bolster their midfield in the coming months. They have been depleted in that area this campaign. The team has suffered because of Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara, and Arthur Melo’s ongoing injuries.

Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have not been at their best either. In order to improve the team’s alternatives in the middle of the park before the start of the following season, Klopp is motivated to bring in new changes.

For Leicester City in recent seasons, Tielemans has been an essential player. He joined the team in 2019 and has since made 191 appearances, totalling 28 goals and 25 assists.

In 33 games so far this season, the 26-year-old has four goals and one assist to his credit. The talented midfielder could end up being a steal for Liverpool.

Youri Tielemans is one of the Premier League’s most anticipated prospects. So, it shouldn’t be shocking that a team like Liverpool would be interested in the player.

Along with the Reds, Arsenal has also been mentioned as a potential suitor for him.
