Manchester United set to sell host of players this summer

Manchester United are set to accelerate their rebuilding process by selling a number of players in the upcoming transfer window.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Harry Maguire, Wout Weghorst, Dean Henderson, Donny Van de Beek, Eric Bailly and Alex Telles are all set to depart.

Maguire was signed for a huge transfer fee but never fulfilled the promise. He even lost his starting spot under Erik Ten Hag.

Weghorst was signed on loan in January but did not do enough to land a permanent move, while Henderson hasn’t been able to nail a starting position consistently for the club.

Van de Beek hasn’t been given enough opportunities and will look for a club that can provide him with playing time. Bailly and Telles have always been fringe players at the club.

United have already begun refreshing the team with the likes of Antony, Casemiro and Eriksen, who were signed in the last summer window.

However, along with new signings, it will be necessary for the club to sell enough players to balance the already inflated wage bill and fund new incomings.

United will be hoping to reach one step further next season and challenge for the Premier League and the Champions League after finishing third behind Manchester City and Arsenal.
