Manchester United are finally getting busy in the transfer market with a deal for Mason Mount confirmed last week. Fabrizio Romano claims that a move for Axel Disasi is still being planned, but Newcastle will be a rival.
Harry Maguire’s future is uncertain, therefore Manchester United may want more backup as a replacement. Axel Disasi, a potential inclusion, is currently the subject of an update.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, reportedly gave the agreement his approval, according to Romano.
He said: “Ten Hag approved Disasi — talks for weeks on player side but still waiting for approach with Monaco.”
There is a strong risk Manchester United are overtaken on this particular deal, with Newcastle looking to take a more proactive approach.
He added: “Newcastle approached the player’s side this week, expecting to make contact with Monaco.”

Only when Harry Maguire is sold it is probable that this transaction will move forward from Manchester United’s end. Both space and money would be released as a result of this.
Newcastle, meanwhile, might already have moved and secured a deal for the France international by the time this occurs.
With regards to attempting to clinch deals for Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund, Manchester United’s options are now limited. The club can’t even manage to juggle two balls at once.
Kim Min-Jae, who has since joined Bayern Munich, was initially preferred over Disasi. United are reportedly interested in the Frenchman, who would cost roughly £44 million, according to L’Equipe; however, other possibilities, such as Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, may be considered.
