Marcus Rashford rubbishes reports of requesting salary hike

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has taken to Twitter to refute reports that claimed he was seeking a salary hike after his performances this season.

“Just before this one starts to do the rounds! It’s complete nonsense. The club and make self have been respectful to one another, and that’s how it will remain.

“My focus is purely on finishing as well as possible in the league and winning trophies.”

Rashford has been in scintillating form this season, bagging 27 goals in all competitions, including 14 in the Premier League.

He has been one of the major reasons that the club sit comfortably in the top 4, have won the Carabao Cup, and are still in the race for the FA Cup and the Europa League.

After his less-than-impressive performances last season, where he only scored four times in the league, many had wondered if Rashford was facing a decline after he emerged as an academy prodigy.

However, he has proven that he can still fulfil his potential. Still only 25 years old, his best years could be approaching.
