Fulham are closing in on the signing of striker Raul Jimenez from Wolves as their worries of losing Aleksandar Mitrovic grows.
Fulham’s interest in Jimenez comes after reports that the relationship between Mitrovic and Fulham has completely broken down as the club have blocked multiple attempts from Saudi club Al Hilal for the signing of the Serbian.
He has reportedly unleashed his fury at the officials at Fulham and is now training separately in London away from the rest of the squad on tour. Boss Marco Silva revealed that Mitrovic has refused to play for Fulham on their pre-season tour.
Silva was also approached by Saudi club Al Ahli but the Portuguese has rejected a reported £40 million contract offer in favour of staying at Craven Cottage. This decision has reportedly also surprised the bosses at Fulham.
But it looks as though Silva will be without his star striker as Mitrovic is going to force his way out of the club. Raul Jimenez is being touted as the possible replacement.
They have reportedly had an offer of £5.5 million accepted by Wolves for the 32-year-old. Jimenez has reportedly also accepted personal terms with the Cottagers.

The Mexican has played more than 150 games for Wolves in a span of 5 years. He was a regular for them before his horrible head injury in 2020 which put him out of action for multiple months.
Jimenez has struggled with injuries ever since and has not been able to become a regular starter for Wolves again. He only played 20 games for the club last season and failed to score a goal in the Premier League.
The striker’s injury record and age makes him a massive risk for Fulham if they are hoping for him to turn into their main man. He has proved he can score goals in the league before but has failed to do so regularly in the last three years.
Mitrovic would be a big miss for the Cottagers as he has led the line for the club since 2018 and has scored goals in both the Premier League and the Championship. The 28-year-old scored 14 goals in the league last season and has played over 100 games for the club.
His temper has been criticised by many but he has proved his quality at the highest level this past season.
