Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang set to join Marseille

Olympique Marseille is prepared to complete the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Ligue 1 team and Chelsea have come to an agreement, and the 34-year-old is scheduled to have his medical tomorrow.

The French team was eager to strengthen their offense during the current transfer window. They also had Aubameyang on their list of objectives. They have been negotiating with the Blues for some time and have now successfully reached an agreement to hire him.

The player and the team had already agreed upon personal terms a few days prior. He is eager to move and is prepared to sign a three-year contract.

Marseille was attempting to persuade Chelsea regarding a free transfer even though they already had an agreement with the player, and they were successful.

The athlete has everything arranged and is ready to travel to the French club’s training facility tonight.

Both teams appear to benefit from the agreement. Although Aubameyang was making a substantial salary at the London club, Mauricio Pochettino did not have Aubameyang in mind for the future. As a result, his departure will help them balance their books.

The French team, meantime, was looking for striking reinforcement and was able to get the services of a striker who has established himself at clubs across Europe.

Before joining Arsenal, the 34-year-old gained popularity as a player for Borussia Dortmund. He participated in 163 games for the Gunners in all, scoring 113 goals.

The former Dortmund striker relocated to Barcelona in the winter of 2022, where he appeared in 24 games and helped to set up 14 goals. Prior to the 2022–23 season, the Gabonese international signed with Chelsea, but Aubameyang’s time in London didn’t go as planned.

The 34-year-old is about to sign with the French team following a disastrous stint at Chelsea. Even though he hasn’t been at his best lately, the former Arsenal great can yet make a comeback.
