It has been reported that PSG are looking to make Bernardo Silva their latest high-profile signing.
Paris St. Germain are essentially looking to replace Lionel Messi in their squad and Bernardo Silva looks to be their preferred choice. A left-footed right winger in a similar mould, Silva could provide PSG with what they are looking for.
PSG have reportedly already held talks with the player and his agent over a potential move to the French capital. His future came under question when recently Silva himself admitted that he currently does not know where he will be playing next season.
The Portuguese also has connections with PSG director Luis Campos, who signed him at Ligue 1 club AS Monaco.
City do not wish for Silva to go but will not stand in his way if he wants to leave and PSG offer them a huge fee. This is similar to last season when Barcelona wanted to sign the attacking midfielder but City demanded for a very high transfer fee.
There had been earlier reports that City had asked for midfielder Marco Verratti in an exchange deal but these reports were later rubbished. Newer reports have come through that suggest City are asking for teenager Warren Zaire-Emery in exchange plus cash for Silva.

Zaire-Emery is a defensive midfielder who has burst onto the scene at PSG this season after having broken into the star-studded first team at just 17 years old. The Parisians are not interested in letting go of their hottest prospect.
Silva has been a pivotal part of Pep’s team that managed to claim a historical treble and even he may struggle to replace the qualities that the Portuguese brings to the table.
A whole host of City players have been rumoured wanting a move away from Manchester after City’s first Champions League success. Aymeric Laporte, Ilkay Gundogan, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and even Kyle Walker are some of the names linked with moves away from the Etihad.
City may not want to let some of these players go but they will soon have to realise that a downside of being an extremely successful club is that players will start to look for new and tougher challenges elsewhere.
City will surely be active in the transfer market and will bring in able replacements for any players that leave thanks to their world-class recruitment team. Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol are two who already look close to joining the sky-blue juggernaut.
