Arsenal are currently in negotiation with Reiss Nelson over extending his contract with the club, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Arteta is satisfied with Nelson as a squad player, but a number of European clubs have displayed interest in the player, which could complicate an extension.
Nelson is one of the recent graduates of the Hale End Academy, alongside Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe.
He was considered one of the best talents to come out of the academy, however, his professional career hasn’t exactly gone as planned.
Unable to nail down a starting position after his breakthrough in the first-team squad, he saw Saka become a starting winger before him.
He was subsequently loaned out to Hoffenheim and Feyenoord, but both did not prove fruitful enough for a big offer to come in.

After struggling with injuries following the loans, Nelson has once again shown glimpses this season that he still has potential.
After coming on during a match against Nottingham Forest earlier this season, he grabbed a brace. But, perhaps, his best moment came more recently.
Arsenal were 2-0 down against Bournemouth and his substitution inspired a comeback. After getting an assist for Ben White’s goal to make it 2-2, he struck in the 97th minute to complete a monumental comeback.
If Arsenal do go on to win the title, that Reiss Nelson goal will go down in history. Arteta has clearly seen enough to keep him as a part of the squad.
