Tyrick Mitchell injury update: Left back expected to return soon

Crystal Palace have had a couple of injuries over the summer, but there has now been an update on one of their key players; Tyrick Mitchell.

He suffered an injury in Crystal Palace’s 2-1 pre-season loss to Millionarios in the United States of America. It was concerning because he was subbed off right away. According to reports, ‘Palace are hopeful’ that the defender will be ready for the start of the season.

This is undoubtedly good news for the Eagles, who presently have just Mitchell as a left back on their roster. Other players are capable of filling in at left-back, but it is not their natural position.

For a club that has lost several players due to contract expiration, it is encouraging to know Mitchell is expected to be fit for the start of the season.

The club’s dynamic left back is vital, and they will want their first team to be totally fit for the first encounter.

Mitchell is highly regarded by Roy Hodgson. He has made extensive use of him during his time as Palace’s manager and will be relieved that he appears to be fit for the start of the season.

The Eagles will hope to finish in the top half of the league next season. This may be difficult because Wilfried Zaha has left and Michael Olise is injured.

Many clubs around them are rapidly improving, and if the Eagles are to compete for a top-half finish, they must avoid too many injuries.

Hodgson will remain the manager for the rest of the season, and he will be hoping for some reinforcements to give Palace some squad depth.
